The final concert.
So if you haven’t heard, LCD Soundsystem is breaking up, and they’re going to do one final concert in Madison Square Garden in NYC. I had the opportunity to see them four months ago in Charlottesville, VA, which is three hours north of where I go to school right now. But being a big fan of LCD Soundsystem, there is no way I could miss this final concert (which will be a three-hour set, apparently). And there’s no way my two other friends who I went to the first concert with wouldn’t go, either. So here’s the game plan:
- Leave Friday morning/afternoon to take the Megabus from Christiansburg to Washington DC for the low fare of $1 (seriously, how do they do that?)
- Take another Megabus from DC to NYC (which is around $8 for this leg of the trip)
- Arrive at Penn Station in NYC (across the street from MSG, by the way), and take the PATH train to New Jersey, where my grandparents will be there to pick me up.
- On Saturday, show my friends around NYC and get in line early at MSG for what will hopefully be general admission seats.
- Indulge in three hours of awesomeness on Saturday night.
- Take the same path that was taken to get to NYC, but backwards.
I have no idea how much tickets are going to be, but I’m buying them either way. There’s no way I’m missing LCD Soundsystem’s last concert! Only two more months!
